Posted on

Kaushalya Mahalakshmi Self Help Group (KMSHG)” is an initiative by KViK with the help of Mrs. Vandhana Malaiya to help the embroidery students of KViK to earn a livelihood by selling their embroidered products. The group comprises of 7 ladies who are well versed in their embroidery and tailoring skills. The dedicated women in the group work hard to create/produce few products like embroidered Pillow covers, Cushion covers, Shopping bags, Cocktail napkins, Table mats, embroidered Kurta (Neck and Sleeve), blouse piece with kantha work, etc.
On 19th Nov 2017, the SHG put up a stall to display their works at Classic Orchard’s Carnival. The visitors to the stall were impressed with the beautiful embroidery work and most of the products were sold in a few hours. What was even more satisfying was the fact that they gave orders for more products!  The group is now busy executing the orders within the committed time. We wish them best of success for the future! A few scenes at the stall in the Carnival area with few wonderful works done by them attached.
